Padmavati Ammavari temple is located in the village of Tiruchanur, just 3 km from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavati, consort of Lord Venkateswara. The temple is also known as Alamelumangapuram and is one of the 108 Divya Desams, holy abodes of Lord Vishnu.
The temple was built by the Chola dynasty ruler Kulottunga Chola I in the 11th century. The temple complex consists of two main shrines, one dedicated to Goddess Padmavati and the other to her consort Alameluman, also known as Lord Venkateswara.
